Now, connecting your personal computer (desktop PC or notebook PC) to the network is just a snap away with Argon's USB 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet adapter. This is designed for USB Compliant PCs. This adapter works with all PCs equipped with a USB port and Windows operating system. You can connect to any 10Mbps, 100Mbps or 10/100Mbps hub without opening up your PC.
Full/half duplex operation is auto-detected. In full-duplex mode, the PC is connected to a switch on a dedicated segment. With transmission and reception taking place simultaneously, data transfer is double. Everything you need to get started is included in one box. The Argon's USB 10/100Mbps network adapter comes complete with a USB cable, which plugs into the USB port of the PC or the USB hub; and an RJ-45 socket to attach a standard UTP cable for a 10BaseT or 100BaseTX connection. PXE (Wired for Management Compliant)
PXE on Disk is client-based firmware that enables client PCs/Notebooks/Servers to access and boot from boot image files on a server. Supports network boot protocol and network environment as per the Intel Wired for Management specification's Preboot Execution Environment (PXE). PXE enables network administrators to deploy centrally-administered management applications to networked clients during their boot phase. Examples of preboot applications are OS deployment for new PCs and disaster recovery, virus scanning, PC BIOS updates, and critical file restore facilities.
Note: By default, Microsoft RIS does not support USB network adapters. If you plan to use this USB adapter with RIS then you will need to purchase the Argon RIS Menu Editor as well.

基本上 USB 的裝置有很多種 (USB Serial, USB Mass Storage, USB Hub ....), 對應 USB 的協定也有差異!! USB 的晶片組也很多, 特性及控制方式也有差異!!
DOS 常有的驅動都是針對 USB Mass Storage 作的 (即 USB DISK) ~~~你需要先寫出該USB晶片的控制, 根據 USB 白皮書提供的裝置描述來完成協定, 再寫出網路的協定,很難吧!!
其實你可以考慮用 TCP51 的產品, 請用 google 找, 可以讓你用 RS232 上網, 若要用 USB LAN 基本上無解
